Marcel and the Mona Lisa

I read '' Marcel and the Mona Lisa written by Stephen Rabley. It's very cute book, so I borrowed it.
The main character is Marcel. He is a French mouse, and a detective. His friend, Celine is good at painting pictures. They are good friends.
One day, after having dinner with her, he found a man in the floor. Also, he had a knife, and Marcel saw he steals the Mona Lisa.
He jumped in his bag hastily. After that, he saw the man and another thin man in white Jacket in the train.
Next morning, they were on a gondola, and went to one place. There was a fat man, and he said '' Have you got it?'' They gave him Mona Lisa. Then, Marcel pushed the candles over, and the fire was burning carpet brightly!! While they were surprising, he bringed out Mona Lisa. I think he is brave and very cute!!
Then, he pushed the Mona Lisa in the police station's letter box.

April in Moscow

I've finished most of final, so I'm really happy, but I worried about the result...^^;

Anyway, I read '' April in Moscow written by Stephen Rabley. It's very easy book to read, but I like the story.

The main character is April Fox. She was a dance working for the British Dance Company in Leed. One day, she got a cahnce to go to Moscow for work[The festival, Green Oceans], so she went there with Laura who was one of her coworker.

In Moscow, they had to work hard, because they had to practice from eight to six.

THe day after, they called at a small market, and they met Nikolai and Sasha. They enjoyed talking each other. Sasha asked them to go to the country for a week's holiday. Next morning, they went there together, they enjoyed talking and having lunch. After that, April listened Nikolai's songs by guitar. Also, they went out in boat. She said '' It's very beautiful here, and also he said, '' Beautiful and you are ... beautiful, he tried to countine to say something to her, but she was called by Laura, so she went to her.

After that day, the festival day came. April danced thinking only about Green Oceans. The festival successed!

Finally, she had to back to London. She thought she wanted to see Nikalai at Moscow airport. Then, he turned up. He gave her parcel and walk away without saying.

In Airplane, she opened it, there was one of those music boxes, and letter. After she read it, her tears fell fast. The letter said, '' Can I come and see you in England?''

I like happy ending story. I hope they meet again, and will be happy.

Also, I thought I wanted to go to Moscow!! [299 words]

ALL AND HIS CAMERA

I read '' ALL AND HIS CAMERA'' written by Pizante. The reason I chose it is to read easily, because I have little time to read. I have to study for final...

Let me tell you its story. The main character was Ali living in Istanbul. He is interested in camera, and wanted camera. However, he did not have money to buy it, so he worked there for camera.

One day, he carries bag for an old man, but they were stolen it by theif! He run after him, but he fell down, and also fell out his money from his pocket. The theif put down the bag, but Ali was stolen his money. He was disappointed, but he thought he can earn money again. I think he was positive and strong.

The day after that, he was asked to carry two heavy bag by an old woman. So he helped the woman. He was kind, I think. Also, after that, she gave her son's camera for appreciation. He was so happy.

After that day, he visited the woman's flat, and met her son, Yusuf. He works for a newspaper. One day, he took his photo to Yusuf at the newspaper. but he saied, ''Not bad'' he was not happy and went home.

Suddenly, he found a small photography shop, and met an old man[Selim]

He asked to work there, and

teach photo to the man. He wanted to learn about photo, so he didn't need any money.

He took a lot of photo, a lot of young children in the city working in shop...and showed them to the man. He praised his photos.

One day, he met Mrs. Yildiz, and she showed Newspaper to him. He was surprised, because his photo was in the newspaper. He felt so happy.

He told Selim quickly, and he found that he showed his photo to Yusuf. Yusuf was smiling. Ali got a new job. they are laughing each other. [327 words]

New Yorkers

i read next book, the tile is ''New Yorkers''. it was composed of 5 short stories. i'll tell you one story which i like the best.

[The Cristmas presents]

i like this story the most, because my heart got warm after reading it.

Della lived in poor little room, everyday, she spent very little money. but she wanted to buy christmas present her husband, Mr. James Dillingham Young. so she sold her beautuiful long hair by twenty dollars, and she bought gold chain for his watch. he loved his watch, but he didn't have chain for it.

when she came back to her home, she looked her hair in the glass. she thought she looked like a school girl! very small curls. she was afraid of what Jim was saying when he sees her.

after a miniute, Jim came back home, and he looked her. he was not angry, she was afraid, so she said she wanted to present him, and sold her hair, and asked ''don't you love me any more? '' then, he put his arms round her. he doesn't care if her hair long or short. and he said, '' i love you''. but at first why he looks unhappy?? suprisengly, he also bought a present her by selling his watch. it was Combs for her beautiful hair, which she sold for his watch.

it was a story with full of love.

Karen and the Artist

this week, i read '' Karen and the Artist''.

it's a short story, because i'm really busy so i have no time to read long story.

let me tell you this story a little.

Karen was a flight attendant, and very kind girl. she had a artist father.

One day, she went in a little cafe, and she met a one man[Antonio]. he had no money, because he was a nameless artist. so he couldn't eat and drink at the cafe. but she likes his picture, so she bought his picutre and they ate there together.

a day later, she showed her father the picture, and her father also prased it. she went to London for flight, and tried to sell it to art gallery for him, but people didn't bought it, because he was unfamouse. but after she went to next art gallery, she said, ''he's got and exhibition at the Lionardo in Rome''. so a man bought it saying very good. Later, when she went back to Rome, she gave Antonio the money and food. but he didn't need money, but Karen. he began to paint Karen.

ANNE of GREEN GABLES

i read'' ANNE of GREEN GABLES''.[赤毛のアン]

the story is about Anne who has red hair and freckles, and likes imagination. she lost her parents after she was born. and she was sent home for orphans. she was starved of affection.

Marilla and Matthew wanted to adop a boy, but they got Anne for mistakes, and at last, they decided to keep her.

as i wrote, she likes imagination, so she made mistakes and often got into trouble.

One day, her classmate Gilbert called her ''Carot''. so she hit his head by book angrily. but she was scolded by teacher. so she decided she never speak to him.

Moreover, she bought a bottle for changing her hair black color, but her hair changed from red to dark green. so she cried loudly, but she had to cut her hair. also, she put cake medicine for cisiter by mistake. she wanted to please visitor, and she thought medicine was milk. she humiliated herself.

However, she was well brough up by them. she grew warm girl.

she studied so hard, and decied to go to Redmond College to become a teacher, but Matthew was dead,it came suddenly. so she thought Maria was alone home. she became sick. she worried about this.

Then, she decided to study at home in the evening, but Gilbert helped her, he wasn't going to be the Avonlea teacher for her. so she could become a Avonlea teacher and they became friends.

it was a warm story. i want to watch this movie.

Anne was growing well making mistakes. she worried and cried many times, but everyone got to like Anne, because she was obedient and kind. i like Anne, too.

i want to watch this movie.

Remember Miranda

i read ''Remember Miranda''

this story is about a family secret. Cathy Wilson would live with the Harvey family to look after two children[Susan and Tim], 'cause their grandmother had arthritis, and sometimes father made a bisiness trip. She lived happy with them, 'cause she had no her own family, but soon she noticed they have one secret...

On the way to visit their family, she met one guy[Tim]. He helped her, and she thoght she was really kind and friendly, but all Harvey family hated him..especially Duncan, their father

she wondered '' why do they hate him?''

i read it to solve the mystery. and after that i found why they hate him.

Their mother[Miranda] loved him, and she wanted to live with Tim, when she left her home leaving children and husband, Mrs harvey pushed her with her stick from stairs, 'cause she wanted to breack her leg, and live with Duncan, she didn't want to kill her, but she die. but Tim loved her sister[Juliet]and of corse she did. it's a their secret to her. Tim loved Juliet, but she liked going out and talking with woman. he was bad man.

after she knew about everything, she decied to live with Harvey family. she loved Duncan and he loved her, too.

Streets of London

i just finished reading this book, Streets of London. this week, i chose a short story , 'cause i forgot to read English book><; this story was about a artist woman. her name was Tina. she left her home, 'cause she wanted to work for artist, but her parents againsted it. she painted on the street, but it didn't sell, so she had no money, job, and she was homeless. One day, one guy, Jummy spoke to her, and they worked in Trafalgar Square. she could sell some pictures, little by little.they saved a little money, so she wanted to lent a flat, however, he said, he wanna go to other town,Birmingham.he left her saying coming back and finding you. thereafter, she find work for artist thanks to Martin. he liked her pictures, so he asked her to work with him. he gave her work room. and also, he asked her to draw pictures on the streets, the picture's name was Streets of London.Two weeks later, Jimmy found her, but she saw him with cold eyes and said,'You didn't come back' she became famous, and she bought her first studio. one day, she met one woman, Rose. she likes her pictures, and she was homeless. so she asked her to work with her. One evening, Martin didn't come back home, and came back home in the next morning. and she found he helped Rose. and she talked him and her about that. she felt jealousy. so they left the studio.

she love her work, so she felt happy, but she have one thing that she couldn't forgot..that was Jummy. she wanted to see him again. so she asked her friend to put this[Tina wants to see you] in her nowspaper. she wanted to meet him on the streets of London.

CHRISTMAS IN PRAGUE

the story began from A letter...
Carol received a letter from the Oxford Orchestra. she was asked to play a harpist for concerts in the Czech Republic. she asked her husband[Jan] to go to Prague, but he said, he couldn't leave oour father[Josef], because he never want to go to prague, they didn't know why... then, josef came into the room, and he asked him to go there. he was thinking a few min, then he said'' let's all go to Prague for Christmas.
[In Prague]
Carol practiced for tomorrow concert, and after that she went shopping for Christmas present. after shopping, while she got back hotel, she met Jan. he would concert tomorrow, she thought why he was there...she shouted to him, but she looked her with cold eyes..then, he began to walk away from her, she didn't understand. she ran across the street, then, at that time, a bus crashed her..
[At nine o'clock]
Mr. Rinaldi[conductor] and others made noise, because the harpist, Carol wasn't there..
[At hospital]
Mr. Rinaldi visited her hospital. she opened her eyes, and she only said ''Jan''. she felt very tired, doctor thought, then she lie down again.
[Tow hours later]
a man who saw the accident [Pavel] visited the hospital. he asked doctor whether she was all right or not. at that time, her husband[Jan]and his father[Josef]visited there. Josef saw Pavel, and asked his name, then his face went white..
[In Carol's room]
Jan went into her room with red flowers, and said ''are you all right?? why did you run in front of a bus? the she saq Pavel with Josef throughh the window of her room. they were surprised, because two men were only one face. then Josef talked about it....Jan and Josef was seperated twin brother!! Carol mistook Pavel to Jan..
after reading, perhaps i may have other sister or brother, i thought. i think every family have a secret..big or small..

A LITTLE PRINCESS

i just finished reading ''A LITTLE PRINCESS''.

it's a story about rich girl became poor after her father died.

let me introduce the story a little.

Sara[a little princess] has a rich father, and so she was a very rich girl. they went to England to have her to go to good school , but her father must go back to India. she she was so kind and clever that she taught studying her friend[Ermengarde]. but, something bad thing happened to her...her father suddenly died, and she became poor girl, and worked for school as servant...

while reading, i felt really sorry for her. Miss Minchin[principal] was so severe, she made her work for long hours, and sometimes she didn't give her any foods..but she never cry, she was strong, i thought.

however, his father's friends[Mr Carrisford] found her, and they lived together. and her friend[Becky; servant] also lived with them. Sara lived happily with Mr. Carrisford and Becky.

the Purse

i read '' the Purse'' . it's compose of 4 stories.

the Purse

one day, Mark found a purse. in the purse, there's the owner's picture and phone number. the owner is a pretty girl and he thought he wanted to meet the girl. so he telephoned and met her to take back the purse, then he asked her to have a coffee together, but she had no time and said good-bye so soon. he was disappointed. On Thursday, she couldn't find one of her shopping card, so she telephoned him, and they will meet again. on that day, they met at the cafe, but she couldn't stop talking, she never listen his talk, just talking. he thought he never want to meet her again, but she asked giver her his phone number. He thought he never want to listen her talk, and next time, when he found a purse, he would take it to the police.

it's a short story, but a funny story. i thought if i find the purse, i'll also take it to the police^^;

MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS

i read this book'' Mary Queen of Scots''. i tried to read long story book.

it's a story about Queen of Scots, Mary wrote a letter to her son[King, James] before she died.

she was in prison, and executed by Queen Elizabeth 'cause she directed man to do so. she hated her, 'cause Mary had three husbands, and she didn't married, Mary is more beautiful than Elizabeth.

before i read, i know her as Bloody Mary; she executed so many people.

but, after i read, i felt sad, she was so poor. her husband was bad. he didn't work, and he drank a lot and often fight, so she did work all day. also, he killed her friend, David Riccio, who helped her. also, she was executed by Elizabeth.

i got to interested British history. i want to know more about it.

Mike's Lucky Day

i chose this book ''Mike's Lucky Day'' as you see, it was story about love.
after i read, i felt warm.
let me tell you this story a little. Mike is an Bill's assistant van driver. He met one girl[Jenniferl] at Morgan's shop. he thought she was beautiful. one day, he asked her to go to cinema. however, he was late because of traffic jam. after he came back home, he put his clean clothes and ran to the bus stop. he caught the bus, but he forgot money!! so he came back his home, but his parents were not there, and his key was in his old trouser's pocket. so he climbed up the drainpipe, and came in his room. unfortunatelly, a police car passed his home, and they suspected him, and asked lot of questions. at last, they believed him, and took him into town. however, naturally she wasn't there. he telephoned her again and again, but she didn't answer. so he wrote letter to her[i'm sorry, can we start again??].
on Monday, he took the letter to the shop and put it on the counter. he thought she didn't read it, but that evening, he saw her at cafe!!and she said'' you're late'' they smiled each other. it was Luck Day!! i thought they will go to cinema.
it's good story but too short story, so i will read a little long story next☆

Marco

I read ''Marco''[by Mike Esplen].
Have you ever ran away from home?? The story is about Marco who left farm. Let me tell you its story. Marco was a farm boy. One weekend, he left farm, and went to big city, but he couldn't buy ticket for train, because he had a little money, so he ran out of the station. He felt dread of that! While walking narrow street, he met one pretty girl[about 18 years old] wearing old clothes. She said ''there're acquaintance in cake shop so, we could get cake by cheap prices.'' He decided to give little money to her, after she got cake, she ran away from him!! He ran after her, and police car stopped in front of her, but the police didn't believe what he said, because he didn't live in the city. He only believed her. He was said'' Go home''. After that, he looked for market. While looking, he found one peaches box with a label written by himself! He was so hungry, so he insisted his peach, but the seller didn't understand. For a one moment, Carlo who was driver of lorry came toward him. So, he helped him, and he took him to his house. When he arrived his house, his father said '' Marco Is that you? ''from top of the stairs, and he said'' Yes, it's me. I'm coming up''. His father worried him.

I went to Karaoke with my friend after school, and I send e-mail[I'll come back home late, today] to my father, but I didn't notice and answer phone call from him, so my parents was so worried, because it was past 0:00. I think parents alway worried their children even we're adult. I'm sorry dad and mom!!! I'll contact exactly them from now when I come back home late.

Lisa in London

I read this book''Lisa in London''[Paul Victor]. The story is about Lisa who comes in London for the first time.
Lisa came in London to learn English, 'cause she wanted to be a English teacher, but
she became model in London. She was asked to be his model by Michael for 10 days.
At first, she refused his offer, but finally she accepted. While she was being taken photos, he gave
English Lessons.
After that days, they're fell in love. He would go to Hong Kong, so he wanted to go there with her. However, she couldn't stay
in London to study English, because her father was waiting for her. She must get back her country.
She decided to go back, but she changed her mind at the airport, so she came back to Michael!
She became model for Michael. They'll go to Hong Kong, America, Africal...she'll take his so many English Lesson.
After reading, I thought sometimes we changed our life ways. I think the model is a good job, because she can be with her lover, and she can take his English Lesson!

THE PHONE RINGS

I read this book'' The Phone Rings'' . The story was a boy[Ben] who fell in love with one girl[Lauren], so his friends[Mike and Lucy] helped his love. They told information about her over the phone. They gave him information like she liked teddy bears, so he put a teddy bear in his school bag and went to school. He wanted to talk to her.

One day, Mike said, '' There's a dance here on Friday.'' So, he decided to go and talk to her.Then on that day, Lauren spoke to Ben!! He was surprised, and she said that her friend also gave her information about Ben! They walk to the table with hand in hand.

This story was interesting, because he tried to familiar with her. I like this pure love story.

Little women

Do you know Little women[若草物語]?? I read Little Women [Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy March]. This is a famous story in the world. Their father was away in the war. This story describe family love, and it made my heart warm. Sometimes, they quarreled, but they finally made it up. They ware all good friends.
I have two remained scenes in my heart. One is they gave their foods to the Hummels who don’t have any food even if they were poor. They had consideration for others. The other is Jo sold her hair for money, because her mother must go to sick father. I was moved by this scene.
At last, they lived in harmony all together with father and mother.
I like this sort of stories like family love. I want to watch this movie. So, please visit Link!

Moonfleet - J. Meade Falkner

I read ''MOONFLEET''. It was about a man who seeks a diamond.
Long time ago, Blackbeard had hid his diamond. So, the main character, John Trenchard sought the diamond. He lived in Moonfleet, in the south of England.
One day, he found the passage under the church, and he found the coffin which was in Blackbeard. He saw yellow envelope in his hand. Inside it, some paper with words and number. However, he could not get out. So, he was helped by Elzevir, Then, he began to live together in his bar, but they must leave the bar, because Mr. Maskew is going to buy it. The next night, when taking the casks of wine off the ship, John was got by police’s gun. He was hurt, so Elzevir looked after him in the cave. By the middle of May, he got fine, and he understood the number and words with Bible. So, they leave there. They found the diamond in the well in Carisbrooke, France, and Elzevir said to him.’’ I don’t want any of the money. Give the money to other people’’ I was moved by these words. However, when they tried to sell it, they was caught by police.
After ten years, Elzevir was dead, and John came back to his village. He got a letter from Aldobrand which was written about a diamond and he got it. He thought about his future, and he gave it to the people of village. Also, he married his lover, Grace.
It was a little long story. I think John and Elzevir is great persons, because he gave the money to others not himself even if they were prison. Elzevir was dead, but I hoped he was happy with his dead daughter in the heaven.

Mr Jealous

I read this book'' Mr Jealous''. Its book has simple short 5 stories written by simple English, so I cannot enjoy reading..

I'm going to write 3 stories, Mr Jealous, Flowers for Maria and The Bully.

[Mr jealous]

The main character was Rob and his girlfriend, Cathy. Rob loved her, but she might have a another guy, Tom, so he was really worrying about it. He phoned her, but she didn't answer.At last, he found that Tom was a little boy, and he only look after him. However, she liked Tom's brother! How simple this story is! I don't like this girl! I wanna read more pure love stories.

[Flowers for Maria]

I read this kinds of story [like love story with rich girl and poor boy] many times, so I was bored with it. Herman was a poor boy as I said, and he had a girlfriend, Maria. However, he was opposed their marriage by her father, because his job is gardener, and he doesn't have much money. He rained abuse on him, so he ran away. The next day, he want to say sorry to her, so he was going to buy flowers for her, but he was mistook for a thief by policemen! Moreover, Maria and her father watched him, too. She tried to run to him, but her father stopped her. And he said, '' you never meet him again!'' How sad this story is. This is ordinary story, but I wanna knew continence.

[The Bully]

Do you know the word, BULLY?? BULLY is a student like Beverley. She often takes lunchbox and bag which she wants, everyone was annoyed with her. So, a new student Yoshi from Tokyo in Japan hit on good idea, Karate. He asked them to join him, and he throw her! Then, she changed her mind, and his class became peaceful and friendly.

I'll try to read more long story next time☆

GIRL meets BOY by Derek Strange

It was a story in later July. They fell in in love on the boat at portsmousth...

I read this book; GIRL meets BOY, because I want to read love story and I was atrracted by book cover.

It was separated 3 parts; Donna's story[it was mainly written her feeling for him], Mark's story[it was mainly written his feeling for her]and The town's story[the ending]. They stared each other on the boat, so they fell in love.

However, she mistook him for his brother, and Mark saw she was dancing with
his brother. He was really worrying about them...
I found both sad feeling, she's thinking of him, and he's thinking of her. It was
written by simple English, but I think it was good love story.
At last, they met again, and he was shy but he asked her to dance with. It was happy ending!
